We strongly recommend to follow the absolute minimum preparation of your samples by spinning or filtering them, and calculating their concentration, immediately before carrying out protein characterization or interaction studies. Additionally, we recommend correcting protein absorbance for the presence of aggregates as per the following equation: A280corr = A280 - 2 x A333.

The Denovix DS-11+ is equipped with a cuvette fitting slot and a nanodrop stand. We encourage using the available cuvette to ensure more accurate absorbance readings. The touchscreen front end offers multiple apps dedicated to the type of samples. Absorbance spectra and data reports can be exported and uploaded onto a USB stick directly from the instrument.

There us access to a 1 cm cuvette with a sample requirement of 75 µL or a 1.5 mm cuvette with a sample requirement of 20 µL. 

There is no training necessary to use this equipment.
